Water droplets rest on the surface of a leaf — each one a tiny lens, a perfect sphere, a small world of reflected light. Photographed close, the ordinary becomes abstract: pattern, light, surface, repetition.

This is a macro photograph in the truest sense — not just technically close, but emotionally close. It asks the viewer to pay the kind of attention to a leaf after rain that we rarely take the time for, and rewards that attention with something genuinely beautiful.
