Iron II is the companion work to Iron I — together they form a diptych that is greater than the sum of its parts. The two paintings share a tonal language but each holds its own character; displayed side by side they create a quiet dialogue.
The surface of Iron II is richly worked, with layers of paint building a texture that rewards close looking. The palette is drawn from the earth — warm ochres, deep greens, and the grey-brown of weathered iron.
Displayed together with Iron I, these works make a powerful statement in a hotel corridor, boardroom or open plan commercial space.
